Mixed-media city studies
Notes on the recurring color, fragments, figures, and movement across the Art collection.
The Art collection returns to crowded city scenes: night markets, platforms, crossings, riders, vendors, signs, and reflected light. The works use mixed media to hold several moments in one frame instead of resolving the street into a single clean view.
Structure before detail
Each scene begins with a large spatial rhythm: a band of figures, a bright stall, the horizontal pull of a train, or a street receding between buildings. That structure keeps the image readable when smaller fragments and marks accumulate.
Color as navigation
Deep blue often carries the surrounding city while orange, amber, turquoise, and white identify movement or points of attention. The contrast guides the eye through busy compositions without requiring every object to be described literally.
Fragments keep time visible
Torn edges, layered marks, repeated figures, and partial signs allow different observations to coexist. A work can suggest the memory of a place, the speed of passing through it, and the act of reconstructing it later.
The Album presents these works as individual frames with image metadata and close viewing. The Art project keeps the full visual collection together, while this note records the ideas that connect the series.
